Project Horizon (Lexington, VA) has been “dedicated to eradicating domestic, dating, and sexual violence through empowerment of survivors and by being a sanctuary for victims” since 1982. For over 40 years, we have provided counseling, advocacy and emergency shelter for victims whose homes are not safe places to be. Last year, we answered 7,051 hotline calls; provided 4,969 nights of shelter to 211 victims and provided counseling and advocacy for 803 victims. These life-saving services are possible because of the generosity of people like you. The Deck the Halls Ruby Gala will be held on December 2, 2023, but you don’t have to be present to participate in the live auction. Bidding is open now! At approximately 8:00 pm on December 2nd, we will open the Live Auction for real-time on-line bidding. A few notes about the auction: o Bidding is open now! o Cash, Check, or Credit Card are Accepted Forms of Payment for the Live Auction. o A 4% credit card convenience fee will be added to all purchases paid by credit card. The Washington and Lee University Mock Convention is a mock presidential nominating convention held every four years by the students of W&L. Its goal is to predict who the party out of power will nominate to run for President of the United States. Mock Convention will host a fundraising auction during Parents and Family Weekend 2023. The auction will take place on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 5-7 p.m. in Evans Hall. Participants will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive events such as a trip to the Piedmont region of Italy, a Monday Night Football experience with Troy Aikman or a Kentucky horse racing experience.
