Harris IV at online auction. Mr. Harris passed away on November 19 at the age of 80. He graduated from Washington & Lee University in 1967 and Vanderbilt University Law School in 1970. Following law school, he joined the United States Coast Guard, serving in the JAG Corps from 1970 through 1973. He later returned to Nashville, where he practiced law for many years. Beginning in 2020, Mr. Harris began transitioning back to Lexington, a community he loved dearly. During his time back in Lexington, he was very active with the Moot Court Program at Washington & Lee University while continuing his law practice in Nashville.
